The Office for National Statistics will publish its first quarterly GDP estimate for April to June 2026, alongside the June monthly figure, on August 13 at 7:00 am. The most recent available data show real GDP grew 0.1% in May, with construction leading sector gains at 1.6% over the three months to May, while Q1 2026 quarterly growth held at an unrevised 0.6%. The Q2 figures will be the first official read on whether that momentum continued, with the Bank of England still weighing services inflation running above its 2% target ahead of its September rate decision.

Two analyst polls place India's July 2026 CPI inflation between 4.4% and 4.5%, up from June's provisional 4.38%, with food prices cited as the primary upward driver due to uneven monsoon rainfall. The official figure from MoSPI had not been published as of the research cutoff, meaning all circulating numbers remain forecasts, not confirmed data. A reading above 4% would mark a second consecutive month above the RBI's headline target, which the central bank retained at 4% in March and is monitoring alongside its FY2026-27 inflation forecast of 5.0%.
