Sam Burns enters Sunday's final round at Royal Birkdale at 10-under par, two strokes ahead of Ryan Fox and Kim Si-woo, after his rounds of 62-65 produced a 127 total that is the lowest consecutive 36-hole score in Open Championship and men's major history. Burns surpassed the previous Open record of 130, set by Nick Faldo in 1992 and matched by Brandt Snedeker in 2012. A win on Sunday would be Burns's first major title; Fox, two shots back, could become the first New Zealander to win the Open since Bob Charles in 1963.
