Tour de France Stage 21 Cut to 89km as Wildfires Redeploy Security Personnel
ASO and the Paris Prefect of Police confirmed Sunday's final stage will run 89km instead of the planned 133km, with security staff reassigned to wildfire response in the Gironde region. The competitive portion begins on the Champs-Élysées at 5:50 p.m. rather than in Thoiry, retaining the Montmartre circuit and the traditional finish. Tadej Pogačar leads by 6 minutes 26 seconds over Remco Evenepoel, meaning completing the stage would give him his fifth Tour de France title across 2020, 2021, 2024, and 2025.
