The product is live for ChatGPT subscribers across Free through Pro tiers but has no API release date and no published per-token pricing; the closest available proxy is the existing Realtime API at $32 per million audio input tokens and $64 per million audio output tokens. No head-to-head benchmark of GPT-Live against Google Gemini Live exists yet, and OpenAI has not published latency figures in milliseconds for the new model.

Executive Order 14409, signed June 2, 2026, requires NIST to design a voluntary framework by August 1 covering one narrow behavior: up to 30 days of federal pre-release access to AI models flagged by a classified cybersecurity benchmark. The framework does not address safety evaluations, transparency, or incident reporting, and NSF and BIS have no mandates under the order despite being named in policy discussions.
